Project Overview
So, back when I was at Ornio, we had this idea to create a tool for managing job postings and applicants within our company. As we added more features, our team started using it more and more. With that spark of an idea, we designed a simple logo and put up a snazzy marketing website. And guess what? That's how Discovr.plus was born! It went from being just an internal thing to a full-blown applicant tracking system and recruiting platform.
Foundation
We've begun by establishing the foundation for Discovr.plus. This includes elements like our color choices, typography, spacing, and icons. These foundational elements have been crucial in shaping the look and feel of our product screens and design components.
Color Palette
To create a visually engaging experience, we crafted a color palette that resonates with the platform's dynamic and modern identity. Our primary color is a vibrant shade of green that symbolizes growth and progress, paired with a sophisticated deep blue that adds depth and contrast, conveying a sense of trustworthiness and professionalism.
Iconset
To ensure a cohesive and user-friendly design, we assembled a set of line and glyph icons guiding users to quickly identify and navigate key actions and features within the application.
A one-size-fits-all grid
In today's multi-device landscape, responsiveness is crucial. Our responsive grid enabled Discovr.plus to look and function flawlessly on various screen sizes, from desktops to smartphones.
A library of components
After defining the look & feel we crafted a comprehensive library of components. These components served as building blocks that could be integrated into various parts of the web app and marketing site, promoting consistency, efficiency, and a unified user experience.
The Product
As an applicant tracking and recruiting platform, Discovr showcases all applicants who have applied for a job posting. By grouping all applicants in one location, employers gain a holistic view of their talent pool, enhancing their ability to make informed hiring decisions.
Utilizing Discovr.plus, you have the ability to access an applicant's profile directly from the list of job applicants. This offers the added benefit of providing a comprehensive overview of the applicant's activity, including previous means of communication.
It also provides robust features for managing conversations with applicants, enabling employers to easily create, send, and respond to messages from applicants.
